Come and support the music from the Southern University Jazz Ensemble
The SU Jazzy Jags is the official name of the Jazz Ensemble at Southern University. The band has been in existence since 1968 and was founded by the late Alvin Batiste, Sr. The SU Jazzy Jags perform annually at The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, The Alcorn Jazz Festival in Vicksburg, MS, The Southern University Founders Day Lunch, etc.
Come join us for an evening of smooth jazz along with dancing, featuring the Southern University Jazzy Jags.
