Event Details

State Archaeologist Dr. Charles "Chip" McGimsey will discuss The First People of South Louisiana. This is a program about  native people living in and around the Atchafalaya Basin more than a thousand years ago. There will be a Q&A session and you may bring your own artifacts and discuss them with an archaeologist.
The program is 1-2:30 p.m. in the Plaquemine branch of the library and targeted to adults interested in local archaeology.
